Subject: News & UpdatesGreetings!
As you can imagine, launching Dallas' first
world-class music, food, fashion and arts festival is a great journey. The decision to begin the public networks 'roll-out' portion of the platform has been great as well. Mainly because, it gives immediate feedback that there is an audience for such an event. You, along with folks on
Twitter and
UptownJazzDallas.com (which you should request to join, by the way), are revealing that there's a great pool of arts enthusiasts, not only here in Dallas, but abroad. This was the whole point back in 2006. For an area like the metroplex to be successful at hosting an
International Jazz Festival, the platform must do what other festivals don't do. Which is, tap into, develop and promote local talent. Regional, National and International talent will take care of itself. This is the goal of this portion of
Uptown Jazz Dallas' roll-out. Discover and congregate the best talent in our area in the areas of music, food, fashion and arts. So, if you have perfected a gift in one of these categories, it's time for you to come forward and prepare yourself to go forward with us. Don't just sit back and wait for this to happen. You need to have a page/profile for yourself on UptownJazzDallas.com. When the time comes, this will be how the world sees you. Trust me, there will be a lot of folks on this platform later. Dallas/Ft. Worth talent needs to be online first. So, be advised. Also, if you're just a fan (which is definitely cool), and you know someone that needs to be involved (from anywhere on the planet) get the word to them and invite them yourself. Take pride in this thing.
Other Notes:
UptownJazzDallasLIVE has a long standing relationship with
Savor Dallas. This event is coming up next week
(March 5-6) and
features cutting-edge cuisine from over 60 top chefs. Over 400 premium wines, select spirits and imported beers. Savor Dallas is the top choice for wine and food lovers.
UJDLIVE is our creative arm, and in previous years has participated as a Sponsor under our Lighted Path brand. Going forward
UptownJazzDallasLIVE will be the ID by which we produce original content in support of our
International Jazz Festival - Uptown Jazz Dallas, in addition to, providing support to events and clients like Savor Dallas, as well as, our our prestigious clientele that has the likes of Moet Hennessy USA and General Motors to name a few. We invite you to join us next week in supporting one of the finest events being produced in our area. You can't afford to miss it. Go to
www.SavorDallas.com and plan your schedule accordingly. There's a lot to choose from but whatever you do don't miss the International Grand Tasting Saturday night. There's much, much more so go and check out the site. AND, when you buy your ticket use the promo code
TJS10 so we can track you from this Festival Group. We want to bring you more promotions and this is one way to know if you're participating.
In closing, we have so much to tell in the time ahead. This is one of the most exciting things I've ever been a part of. The vision for this International Jazz Festival is robust and well thought out. Just as a reminder, the platform consists of the following:
Uptown Jazz Dallas Festival International (the Festival)
Jazz Up Festivals, Special Events and Underground Unit (year-round promotions arm)
UptownJazzDallas.com (global entertainment platform/social network)
UptownJazzDallasLIVE (creative arm with a netcasting channel on Livestream)
Everyone of these parts is moving right now, so it won't be long (LORD willing) until we're experiencing this thing in it's full glory. For those who pray, keep us in your prayers. Until next time......
